Here's what got me interested in architecture, and what keeps me excited:
The spaces we inhabit shape our movements, our habits, and our attitudes. Practicing design, whether it's constructing a building or just turning a desk to face the window, means taking control of these environments and their effect on us. We take control of whether or not the places we work spark creativity and engagement, whether they help us stay curious or make it easier to collaborate with the people around us. Crafting our physical and visual environment changes the work we do, the ideas we have, and the kind of people we become.

It turns out to be a pretty rewarding thing to be curious about.
We're surrounded by architectural space basically all the time, and a good idea can literally make the world a better place, whether its at the scale of a building or a cubicle.
